Quit the bitching about filler episodes. With out them the Animated Series would quickly catch up to the manga and then you might have to wait even longer between episodes. Guys, c’mon this episode may not have been 100% fight, but this episode was very significant in Naruto’s growth it showed viewers that he can stop kyuubi on his own without seals. Even though this is a lot like Gaara the emotional significance is about the same as with Gaara. This whole concept of another person being alone and what makes Naruto win is that he can relate due to his own past is creative but will get old fast. A Kyuubi vs. Kyuubi battle would be cool but would be too destructive and a little rash on the writers part, he’s making it have more than just a total violence feature and i like it. So before everyone jumps on the writer’s case think of how he is trying not only to advance the plot, bring good action and make it a loveable show but how he is trying to keep us watching. And by the way Avatar is not at all better, i would take all of the crappy fillers before shippudden in exchange for Avatar… it’s a kid show this isn’t.

All in all I give it till the start of September before we get to see Akatsuki make another appearance.
