Where she is weeping over Naruto as he recovers from the Kyuubi, this recognition blossoming into mature love might be foreshadowed. On the other hand, Hinata’s feelings for Naruto are entirely unmature - a crush. Besides, ultimately Hinata seems too domestic - the appropriate wife for Naruto if he retired to the countryside, not the appropriate love for an epic hero. Maybe if Sakura dies after falling for Naruto though….
