   It wasn’t supposed to follow the others, this one’s completely independent of all the others, including the current storyline.
   I suppose that since everything was getting so serious, and with a certain moody main character about to go awol, they had to do something silly just for the sake of being silly.
   And I don’t think we’ll see Kakashi’s mask off anytime soon (not even in Shippuden does he take it off), if not ever; it just adds to his character.
